About the Department
The Department of Computer Science was started in the year 2017 affliated to University of Madras to offer B.Sc. Computer Science to empower economically poor students for the digital era. The Department offers a well balanced curriculum consisting of hardware, software and application oriented courses. The syllabus is revised at regular intervals to keep pace with recent advancements in technology. The Department of Computer Science is well equiped with Computers and other Infrastructure. The Department also boast of highly qualified and well experienced teachers. The Department also provides placement assistant to the outgoing student. The passed out students of the department are placed in software companies like TCS, Accenture, HDFC bank, TNQ, ICCS..etc.
Mission of the Department
- Provide the ambience to become industry ready Professionals, Researchers and Entrepreneurs by offering courses on cutting edge technology and advanced laboratory courses for the students especially to the economically poor background students .
- .Impart high quality experiential learning to get expertise in modern software tools and to cater to the real time requirements of the industry.
- Inculcate problem solving and team building skills and promote lifelong learning with a sense of societal and ethical responsibilities.
- Offer continuing education programmes in the emerging areas for the benefit of stakeholders.
